Taking Care of Your New Wedding Band
Our wedding bands are made to wear and enjoy for a lifetime. Most of our rings are die struck and
require very little care. However, it is important that you keep your wedding band clean. Soap, hand creams,
detergent and lotions can build up under the ring and cause a minor irritation. To prevent this you should remove your
ring before using soap or lotion.
Chemicals have a negative impact on gold jewelry. Especially the chemicals used in swimming pools and hot tubs will
attack your rings. If you wear your band into the hot tub chlorine and bromine will weaken the metal causing stones to
fall out. We recommend that you do not wear your wedding band while in a swimming pool or hot tub.
Take your jewelry off when using laundry or cleaning products. Never try to clean your jewelry with bleach.
If your wedding band is dirty and needs cleaning there are many commercial brands of jewelry cleaners available
at jewelry stores or department stores. These cleaners will make the metal brighter, however, they will not remove scratches. If you
have a lot of scratches then you will have to take your wedding band to a professional jeweler to have scratches buffed out.
